The Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the Pioneer Gas Engine Association, Inc. is a non-profit corporation founded in 1967 for the purpose of the preservation, restoration and demonstration of the tools and machinery from the past. Many people of today's generation may not otherwise have the opportunity to see this equipment in use as it was during the early industrial age of our country. Visitors to the annual "Gas-Up" can examine machinery in operating conditions as well as equipment waiting for restoration. A walk over the show grounds and through buildings will bring back memories for Granddad and raise many questions from the younger generations.
The equipment is owned and displayed by the individual members who received no reimbursement for moving and displaying at the show.
